The ISA Junior World Championships in 2024 will be held in La Bocana and El Sunzal between May 3 and 12, the organization reported in a press release.

This will be the second time the event has been held there in two years after having been in Rio de Janeiro in 2023.

With this, El Salvador once again scores one of the most important events of the ISA, with the exception that it is not in sequence with the CT stage that takes place there, since this will be between June 6 and 15.

El Salvador's Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, said regarding the news: "El Salvador has now established itself as one of the main hosts of important surfing events worldwide, highlighted by the confidence of the ISA and the decision to return to our country with these World Championships.

The combination of this ISA Event and other important ones consolidates El Salvador as a leading destination, promoting tourism, investment and showcasing the country's image on a global scale."

ISA President Fernando Aguerre said: “I am very excited to see the return of the world’s best junior surfers to the incredible waves of Surf City El Salvador. The peak of La Bocana and the incredible point break of El Sunzal have provided many important moments in surfing history in recent years and there are many more to come.

It is undeniable that the Salvadoran government's support for surfing is strengthening its nation and is a great driver in the development of global surfing by once again hosting the future stars of this sport.”
