The ISA will help federations affected by the Covid-5.000 crisis with up to 19 dollars
Funds must be used for the purchase of food or medicine, community aid programs, support for athletes or community members, and forgiveness of membership fees.
The International Surfing Association has created a solidarity fund to support its member federations that have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In an effort to maintain our mission and promote a better world through surfing, the ISA has created the Surfing Solidarity Fund to support our members facing serious challenges caused by the pandemic,” reads the statement sent by the ISA to which DUKE had access.
Federations will be able to request up to US$ 5.000 to support their athletes or communities in the following areas:
-Provision of essential items such as food or medical supplies.
-Community improvement programs
-Severe loss of income per athlete or community member.
-ISA Membership Fee Forgiveness 2020
"Priority will be given to developing countries and those most in need," they explain.
