In ladies longboard the fight is now between Lía and Jazmine

The Costa Rican is guaranteed to reach the final, the Puerto Rican only if she wins (and prevents her opponent from reaching the final)

The women's longboard competition was very close to being decided with only two surfers in contention for the title: Lía Díaz from Costa Rica and Jazmine Dean from Puerto Rico.

Marcela Machado, leader of the ranking, was eliminated today in El Sunzal.

This made the situation very clear for the two who have chances:

-Dean needs to win to be ALAS champion
-If she doesn't want to depend on anyone, Díaz needs to get into the grand final and place fourth at least. In that situation, even with Dean winning she won't be able to reach it.

Diaz has already secured 11683 points as the worst result and Dean currently has 9443, adding from 5780 points. His maximum possible is 12380.
