After the second day of competition, the rivals for the next stage of the Peruvian and Costa Rican competitions were defined.
After the second day of competition at Winkipop, where Brisa Hennessy finished second in her heat against Molly Picklum and Steph Gilmore, avoiding the elimination round, and where Lucca Mesinas did not compete because she had avoided the qualifying round the day before, the rivals of both of them for round 3 were determined.
The Peruvian will face the neat and fast Australian Ethan Ewing and the Costa Rican will face the Hawaiian Luana Silva.
On paper, Lucca's series is more difficult because he, ranked 18th, is up against last year's 14th and 15th in the world.
Meanwhile, Luana is currently 11th, outside the qualification zone, and Brisa is the leader of the ranking.
