In the 100% Peruvian final, Daniella Rosas won the Rip Curl Pro Playa Grande again
Arena Rodríguez and Alonso Correa were runners-up, Santiago Muñiz was back on the podium, finishing third

Peru shined at Rip Curl Playa Grande: Daniella Rosas won and Arena Rodríguez and Alonso Correa placed second on another day of good waves in Biology.
The locals had their star Santiago Muñiz placing third and the event was won by his brother, the naturalized Brazilian, Alejo Muñiz.
The other third place was achieved by Gabriel André and in women it went to Karol Ribeiro and Kiany Hyakutake, all Brazilians.
“The truth is that the sea was very small in 2019; I won the final with a total of 2019. It had been my first time here and now I came knowing more and I came with confidence and a great desire to win,” said Rosas.
The women's grand final was decided by 17,10 (8,60+8,50) to 11,00 (7,00+4,00) for Arena Rodriguez Vargas.
Meanwhile, the men's event had a record score of the last eight years, according to the WSL, Alejo Muniz won with 18,40 (9,40+9,00) against 17,35 pts (9,10+8,25) for Alonso Correa (PER).
The circuit now continues in Ferrugem, Garopaba, starting next Wednesday where a QS 1000 will be held. Then it travels to the Galapagos between May 4 and 8, then, between May 12 and 15 in Salvador, Bahia, and the Quiksilver & Roxy Iquique Pro between May 17 and 22 in Iquique, Chile.
