For her part, the 14-time Panamanian champion and former Central American champion, Samanta Alonso, is also registered for the tournament.

The young talent from Playa Venao, Agustín Cedeño, former Panamanian youth champion, will compete in the open men and longboard category, as will the outstanding longboarders Amado de Jesús Alvarado from El Salvador and Tzahui Poo from Mexico.

The list also includes surfers, longboarders and bodyboarders from Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, and the list is expected to expand over the course of this month.
