It was a Monday of perfect waves in the south of Mar del Plata

And these are the photos and the chronicle of the session

Autumn took a while to show signs of life, but it finally did so this week with the arrival of a large swell from the east that brought waves to the Argentine and Uruguayan coasts.

In a note provided to DUKE (click here.) Aguja Santiago di Pace did not hesitate to say that the best place to surf that Monday was Faro u Horizonte del Sol, south of Mar del Plata. Mariano Serna's photos justify what the legendary surfer said.

"It was an amazing day, waves, sun and a lot of heat. April is one of the months with the most waves and you have to make the most of it. It was a work shift of almost 12 hours," the photographer told DUKE.

"For me it is very gratifying to be able to enter the sea with my camera, to be able to remember everything, this motivates me and I think it motivates the riders too. There is a lot of effort behind it, solitude and hours of work," he added.
