Italo Ferreira “does not plan to surf” in Uruguay
He has a full schedule due to commitments related to the Libertadores final, sources close to the surfer told DUKE; he will miss a good swell that will break on the Uruguayan coast on the same days that he is there.
The Olympic gold medalist and 2019 world champion “does not plan” to surf in Uruguay, sources close to the surfer told DUKE, after insisting on contacting him through various media, to take him surfing in the area.
During the days that Ferreira will be in Montevideo, it is expected from Thursday 25th, when he will give a talk at the Fan Fest, until Saturday 27th, when the grand final of the Libertadores will be played, the surfer will have a “full agenda” because he has to attend to “some commitments,” they reported.
Coincidentally, during the days he will be in Montevideo, a powerful swell will come in, generating perfect waves along the entire Uruguayan coast.
According to DUKE, several surfers and institutions tried to contact them to take him surfing but received no response.
Ferreira, who is a Flamengo fan, was invited to watch the final of the event here and will also give a talk called Conmebol Talk, this Thursday at 19:00 p.m. at the Punta Carretas Lighthouse.
