Italo broke his nose
He landed badly on an aerial while free surfing on the left at Margaret River; they say he is still in the competition
The current Olympic champion and 2019 world champion, Italo Ferreira, fractured his nose today after landing badly in an aerial, he himself reported on social media.
“I was trying out my board, surfing the inside wave with everyone else there and I went to do an aerial… For what?” Italo lamented, his voice clearly hoarse from the accident.
In the video of the accident, he is seen flying dynamically but the strong wind blows the board away from his feet and he ends up landing head first.
According to Brazilian website Waves, Italo will continue competing in Margaret River.
The one from Baia Formosa is up against Jake Marshall and Jadson André.
