One of the biggest transfers of 2019 so far came together sometime last week when Australian Jack Robinson moved from Billabong to Volcom, the brand and Stab reported on Instagram.

After five years with Bong, Robinson switched brands with a contract that the aforementioned website noted among other things doubles the surfer's salary.

According to Stab, Robinson's renewal with the Australian brand seemed a done deal, but some incentive made this change at the last minute.

“The moment I put the sticker on I couldn’t be happier,” Robinson said. “It’s great to have people who believe in my dreams. Volcom is core and true to that and it makes them a great partner for me.”

After several years competing in the QS with world star status, Robinson has not achieved results that bring him closer to the CT until the beginning of 2019 when he won the Volcom Pipe Pro and placed third in the 6000 in Newcastle, which left him fourth in the rankings, making the best start to the tour of his life.
