Jack Robinson won the best championship of the year

Performing incredible combos from tubes to aerials and powerful maneuvers, he defeated Deivid Silva in the grand final.

With combos of tubes and powerful maneuvers, Australian Jack Robinson took victory in the historic return of the CT to one of the most perfect waves on the planet.

He defeated an inspired Deivid Silva in the grand final, who achieved the best result of his career. He was solid but very repetitive in his repertoire of maneuvers, dodging the tubes but attacking with power.

The result reflected a very close final: 15,16 (8,33 + 6,83) versus 15,14 (7,27 + 7,87).

The key to the Australian's victory was his best wave: He came out of a good barrel straight into an aerial and straight into a powerful cut and closed the wave with several other maneuvers; he was given 8,33.

The waves in Barra de la Cruz broke incredibly throughout the day, with incredible wind conditions, consistency and some dream tubes.

Tied for third place in the tournament were Mateus Herdy and Leo Fioravanti.

With the results of the event the top 5 was as follows:
1st: Gabriel Medina 48145
2nd: Italo Ferreira 35060
3rd: Filipe Toledo 32065
4th: Conner Coffin 26685
5th: Morgan Cibilic 26600
