Amid laughter, while chatting with Mason Ho and Lucas Godfrey on their newly launched podcast, Jamie O'Brien described in great detail what happens when you fart in barrel waves.

“Once at Backdoor, I went down, I barely made the drop, I did a big bottom turn and then I farted. Then I got stuck and I didn’t smell it, but when the wave started to roll, the water came and I smelled the fart (laughs). I swear on my life! It only happened to me twice!”, the Pipe specialist began to tell.

As Ho and Lucas laughed and looked on in astonishment, Godfrey, who is close to O'Brien, revealed: "His farts are ugly."

And Mason said it takes an expert to control that kind of thing, gesturing.

“I remember being in the tube with the water rolling around and I could smell my fart in the tube and I started laughing and I fell. And people were like, ‘Why didn’t you get out of that tube? ’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know, it was crazy. ’ But the reality was that I farted and I started laughing and I fell,” she concluded.

In response to the anecdote, Lucas, who is the most "human" of the three, but a very, very talented surfer, said that he thinks something like that would never happen to him. That in a situation like this he would rather go with his tail up.
