Jeremy Flores was also confirmed for Tokyo 2020
Four of the 10 men's CT qualifiers have already secured their place in surfing's debut at the Olympic Games
Despite being defeated today in round 3 by Peterson Crisanto, Frenchman Jeremy Flores celebrated the confirmation that he will be in Tokyo 2020, the WSL reported in the live broadcast of the MEO Rip Curl Pro.
The elimination of his compatriots, Joan Duru and Michel Bourez, makes it impossible to surpass the 31-year-old regular footer who was born in Reunion Island.
In the interview with the WSL, Flores reaffirmed how patriotic he is and how he feels identified with being part of an event like the Olympic Games wearing the colors of France.
With this, four surfers are now 100% confirmed for Tokyo 2020: Flores, Kanoa Igarashi, Jordy Smith and Kolohe Andino.
Among the ladies, the presence of Stephanie Gilmore and Sally Fitzgibbons has already been confirmed.
