Joaquín del Castillo took the bomb of the day yesterday in Pipe

Not many wanted to go into the water in the queen of waves yesterday

Peruvian Joaquín del Castillo caught one of the best waves of the day (or the best?) yesterday at Pipeline, on a day that was mostly marked by the gigantic and disorganized sea.

The seal was huge and that's why the Jaws Challenge was held; the surf spot on the North Shore was Waimea, but a few brave souls got into the water at Pipeline.

Joaquin took this bomb and one of those who filmed it, Myall Snaps wrote: “Was it the wave of the day, month or winter?”

Meanwhile, Surfline posted it immediately, writing on their Instagram: “Yesterday Pipeline was big, windy and untamed. The kind of days that most of the regulars sit out there on. But the lesser known ones are looking for a place in the spotlight amongst all the hunting… Joaquin del Castillo is throwing his hat in for the winter wave ring.”

As a small detail, the boy's birthday is today, Friday... Someone gave him the gift in advance.
