Joel Tudor on WSL: “You can do better than this!”
The entity said that the post of the three-time world champion was “inappropriate and misleading”, the longboarder responded
Three-time World Longboard Champion Joel Tudor continued to make public the longboarders’ feud with the WSL for a better tour. Yesterday, Joel Tudor posted a letter from the longboard commissioner in which he called Tudor’s post “inappropriate and misleading.”
At the same time, Tudor says he was contacted by the VP of Tours and Competitions, Jessi Miley Dyer, who asked him to take down a post he made last week in which, comparing the success that female longboarders have on social media, he asks that they be paid more.
According to a tour lonboarder who informed DUKE, everything happened at the same time that a WhatsApp group was created with the best loggers in the world who, dissatisfied because there is no confirmed tour for 2022, insisted that the authorities be contacted to take action.
In her latest post, Tudor insists on the success of female longboarders and that the WSL does not support this growth in its competitions and policies and that there is no reason not to do so. She exclaims: “You can do better than this!”
Devon Howard, commissioner of the longboard tour, said they are evaluating measures to make the tour better and will openly share their progress.
There are three tentative events listed on the WSL website for the longboard tour, but all at qualifying level rather than elite level, one in England, one in Portugal and one in Brazil.
