Pipeline's top CT surfer today, John John Florence, finally claimed his Pipe Masters trophy. He beat Medina in a grand final where things started badly for him but he worked hard to turn things around.

Medina found a combo of waves of 6,67 and 4,43 and waited with priority to improve.

John John, without priority, did magic; he showed that in addition to being a good surfer, he became a good competitor and without priority he made a 5,60 and a 6,17 on a right and a left.

The Hawaiian, who a couple of years ago saw himself win the world title but lose the Pipe Masters (showing that he was hurt by the result), finally achieved his dream.

He killed the dream, made it come true.

And to do justice to his achievement, in the semis he beat Kelly, who is 48, but is more dangerous than the entire planet.
