John John will compete in the demanding Molokai to Oahu race
He will row the 32 miles between one island and another. It is one of the few things that is known for certain about the future of the world champion.
Two-time world champion John John Florence will compete in one of the most demanding SUP Race and Paddleboarding races in the world, the Molokai to Oahu, which will take place this Sunday, as he himself announced on his social channels.
The race links the 32 miles that separate the small island of Molokai from the Oahu where he was born. This is the only thing that is certain in John John's life after he announced that he would not compete in Uluwatu due to an injury to his knee after losing in Keramas.
Various media outlets, such as Stab, reported based on sources close to the surfer that he would be missing the rest of the year, facing surgery and six to 12 months of recovery.

However, in the Tahiti Pro series, John John appears in series 5 against Julian Wilson and a wildcard to be defined.
In the race, John John will be rowing in the team category alongside his friend Kona Johnson.
As shown in a training video, John John rows lying down and not kneeling like some do and wears a knee pad.
Everything indicates that in the coming days there will be more news about what will happen with John John in Tahiti and at least for the rest of this year.
