"It definitely looks more like Jeffreys Bay today," said the South African
South African Jordy Smith made peace with Punta Roca today, publicly retracting his statements from years ago about the wave's similarity to Jeffreys Bay.
"It definitely looks more like Jeffreys Bay today," the South African said in an interview with the WSL. He added: "I take back what I did four years ago."
Smith said that wave he caught, the 8,5, that wave gave him great momentum and that he should have even used a step up for the barrels.
In another piece published by the WSL, the South African apologized for what he said earlier.
