Frenchwoman Justine Dupont, who fractured a vertebra competing in Thriller at Killers last weekend, shared a video showing her being hit by a powerful wave on her head and falling with her lip over the falls.
That was the reason for the accident, which she said caused her to feel an unusual pain that led her to leave the event.
He accompanied the video with several photos and the following text: “The ocean decides. A beautiful sunrise over Todos Santos. Magnificent waves. A rather violent fall and a journey through traffic jams, ambulances and hospitals. Today I was discharged.”
“It could have been much worse. I realize how lucky I am. In moments like these, you realize how quickly everything can change in a matter of seconds. I practice this sport out of passion, aware of the risks. But nothing is guaranteed. I am lucky and grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
