Kala Grace's drop of the year a few hours ago at Teahupoo
The Hawaiian was positioned for a tube that he couldn't get out of, but what a drop! (If the conditions were to stay like this for two weeks...)
Special coverage of Olympic surfing on DUKE is presented by the International Surfing Association, The Island Surf Shop, SurfCycled, lineup, Swellboards, ALAS, Capi Bar, Quality Surfboards y Ramp 4 Kids
Kala Grace saw the charts and headed to Teahupoo to ride the waves of the swell that is breaking there now.
This is one of the first images of the swell that has been published and it shows the Hawaiian completing an impossible drop to get deep into the tube and be swallowed by the foam ball.
Grace received praise from all over the surfing world in the comments on Instagram.
The filming was done by @maikomou's drone
DUKE's presence in Tahiti to cover Olympic surfing is also possible thanks to Philippe Demarsan, Pepe Gelos, Chifle Pérez del Castillo, Juanja Vargas, Zinka Mendoza Josefina and Tomás Barbé, Mónica Ugalde, Pilar Aguerrebere, Edu Fernández and Wilma Ehni.
