Kalama Stratton won two categories at the Barton Lynch Grom Tournament
Sofia Artieda placed second in hers
Mexican Kalama Stratton won the best tube and best wipe out categories of the traditional Blast off that former world champion Barton Lynch organizes year after year.
Stratton took home the prize after a barreling finish at Puerto Escondido, contested the spot against Indonesian Jayden Willcoxen and won according to what was determined by the legendary Doug Silva and Buzzy Kerbox who acted as judges in that section of the event, along with Lynch.
Meanwhile, Sofia Artieda placed second in the under 14 category, as determined by Vahine Fierro and Erin Brooks. Vahine and Barton first said that they should tie with Skai Suitt, but then Erin said that there has to be a winner.
He said that a wave by Sofía in Pacasmayo should be worthy of the best wave of the event, but that since Suitt has a greater variety of maneuvers, then she would be the winner.
