Karín Sierralta was re-elected vice president of the ISA for the third time

The Peruvian will remain in office until at least 2025; Zimbabwean Kirsty Coventry was the one who obtained the most votes and also remained in office until the same date.


Peruvian Karín Sierralta was re-elected for the third time as vice president of the International Surfing Association, sources close to the election, which was held online today, informed DUKE.

Alongside Zimbabwean Kirsty Coventry, Sierralta has renewed her position as VP of the organization that leads world surfing.

Three people applied for the two available positions: Sierralta, Coventry and Joe Wilson from Samoa.

In the first round of voting, Sierralta won by 19 to 16 against Coventry. Wilson received six votes.

The runoff election determined Coventry as the winner and Sierralta faced Wilson again. The election gave him a 29 to 12 advantage.
