Karín Sierralta was re-elected vice president of the ISA

Fitzgibbons was elected for the first time and Imoto was re-elected to the Executive; the Peruvian was voted in in the first round and received 22 of 41 votes; he extends his mandate that began in 2008 until 2028


Peruvian Karín Sierralta was re-elected vice president of the International Surfing Association for the fourth consecutive time, which will extend his term of office until 2028, several sources present at the election event that is currently taking place online told DUKE.

Sierralta was first elected in 2008 and will begin his fifth term as the only Latino vice president.

The Peruvian received 22 votes out of 41 in the first round, achieving a convincing victory at the very beginning of the electoral process. He faced CT member Sally Fitzgibbons, South African Johnny Bakker and Senegalese Oumar Seye.

In the second round Fitzgibbons was elected ISA Vice President for the first time, beating the Africans.

Kimifumi Imoto was re-elected in the third round as a permanent member of the executive committee, ultimately defeating his compatriot Junya Oishi.
