Kauli Vaast will replace Italo Ferreira at the Tahiti Pro, the WSL announced on the US Open live broadcast. The women's spot had previously been announced to be filled by Vahine Fierro.
Italo Ferreira was injured doing a floater on the last stage of the tour at JBay. The Brazilian suffered a contusion of the medial collateral ligament, with no signs of rupture and will not be in Teahupoo, which leaves him without a chance of making the WSL finals and with practically no chance of going to Paris 2024.
