Kelly's pool wave will be different for this year's CT
The so-called "CT 3" was created to combat the monotony (for the audience) of so many tubes, there will be more room for maneuvers
The World Surf League has changed the wave shape of Slater's pool for the Freshwater Pro in Lemoore, California, from September 19-21, a source close to the organization told DUKE.
The so-called CT 3 will have a shorter length in the first tube, more room for manoeuvring in the middle and will continue to end with the deepest tube at the end. This will be for the right-handers.
The spirit of the change is due to the fact that for the audience it was considered that so much time in the tube could be more monotonous and therefore it was decided to have more room for maneuvers.
There will be six waves that the surfers will surf, three lefts and three rights, and the two best (one and one) are the ones that determine the score to get into the top 8 that classifies for the grand final.
