Kelly Slater's son was born
He confirmed it himself when speaking to Barton Lynch; he still doesn't have a name: "It took us three months to name our dog, it could take us a year to name the child," he joked.
The second son of the greatest surfer in history, Kelly Slater, was born in Hawaii sometime during the Olympics, the surfer himself reported in conversation with Barton Lynch on The Stoked Bloke Show podcast.
Slater said he and his partner Kalani Miller are very happy and gave the detail that they have not given her a name yet.
Although there is a formal name on the birth certificate, they are waiting to decide what to put on it for whatever they see fit.
“It took us three months to name our dog, it may take us a year to name the child,” she said with a laugh.
In another interview, with Nathan Fletcher, Kelly said she was going to give him a special name and not a normal one.
This is Kelly's second child, her eldest daughter, Taylor Slater, is already in her 30s and is an artist and photographer.
