The best in history, Kelly Slater, is already in El Salvador, to compete in the Surf City El Salvador Pro, two sources confirmed to DUKE.

Slater chose a luxurious hotel located in El Zonte to stay and earlier today he went to Punta Roca, waited for the call from the car and once he heard that it was off for the day he returned.

Slater will compete in the first heat of the event against Ethan Ewing and Matthew McGillivray.

According to reports, the surfer has reinforced security at his hotel.

Slater recently told The Inertia that he was excited to travel to El Salvador, which is his first time there, and that Punta Roca looks “fun, with all the different sections.”
