Kelly Slater to host Oscars
Tony Hawk and Shaun White will also be part of the ceremony
Kelly Slater will be one of the presenters at the 94th edition of the annual awards given to film professionals by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of the United States, better known as the Oscars, announced the organizers of the event.
The 11-time world champion will be presenting one of the statuettes on March 27 alongside action sports legends Shaun White and Tony Hawk, as well as several regulars on the red carpet such as Billy Murray, Jennifer Garner, Lady Gaga, Uma Thurman and John Travolta, among others.
This is the first time Slater will be presenting at these awards, but not the first time he has transcended the world of surfing and mixed it with the world of entertainment. At the beginning of his career he was part of the cast of Baywatch, he was part of the Teen Choice Awards several times and also the MTV Awards.
