The greatest of all time arrived in Hawaii in the last few days, as shown on various social media accounts and as he himself shared on his Instagram: "First day of real surfing in over two months. A little out of shape and out of tune, but those two issues will be worked out over the next two weeks."
The videos show him surfing very well in Haleiwa.
Slater had surfed in Florida last week, a session at New Smyrna, on small waves where he was also seen breaking.
He will compete in the Pipeline Pro from January 29 to February 10. On February 11, he will turn 50 and become the first CT surfer to reach the age of five decades.
