Kelly Slater surfed for the first time in his life in a pool on a wave that is not the one he invented, the Surf Ranch in Lemoore, reported BSR Park in Texas, a host of fans on social media and Stab magazine.

Slater went with his godson, Jackson Dorian (Shane's son) and shared waves with talented youngster Erin Brooks and other locals who had reserved times this past Friday and Saturday.

"The place is fun. There's nothing unusual about it. Hopefully there will be lots of pools of all kinds in the future so everyone can have fun all the time," Slater told Stab.

In this video, made by a local filmmaker, he is seen doing more conventional surfing first and then landing several high aerials, of which he completed only one.
