Koa Smith requests his wildcard for finishing second in the Ultimate Surfer
“As vice-champion of Ultimate Surfer, I think I deserve it!” says the Hawaiian after Zeke Lau earned his spot through the Challengers
Koa Smith, the talented Hawaiian goofy footer, asks that Zeke Lau's wildcard be given to him for having placed second on the reality show, Ultimate Surfer.
On Instagram Reel, the surfer says: “OK so Zeke requalified for the Championship Tour, that means the Ultimate Surfer wildcards are up in the air to be picked. Should it be me for placing 2nd in Ultimate Surfer? If you think so, repost this on your story and tag WSL. This would be a dream come true for me. Let’s make a storm over the WSL.”
In the text of the post, he reaffirms the idea that he should be the chosen one and invites the WSL to be tormented with the hashtag #LETKOASURF
According to what the WSL told DUKE and other media, if Lau qualified through this year's Challengers her wildcard would revert to the WSL and not go to Smith, who placed second on the reality show, Ultimate Surfer.
