A giant session on Phantoms Outer Reef on Hawaii's North Shore on the biggest day of the season so far.

Koa Smith took several waves, gained confidence, escaped a beast and ended up tubed in a pump and spitting blood.

A good day of Hawaiian surfing from every angle.
