Latin juniors dominated in Barbados

Alan Cleland won, Tao was vice and Rubiana third


Alan Cleland had a wonderful weekend in Barbados, in addition to placing third in the professional event and qualifying for the challengers, the Mexican won the pro junior category.

In second place was the young Panamanian and Argentine Tao Rodriguez; they both pulled ahead of Owen Moss and Taro Watanabe of the United States. The result of the final was as follows:

Brownell, who has been having an impeccable season, finished third, behind Caitlin Simmers and Sawyer Lindblad and ahead of Kirra Pinkerton.

The final had the following scores:

Cleland knew how to read the pointbreak waves at Soup Bowl well and explode when he needed to.

Rodriguez abused that perfect backside attack when the waves line up and Brownell did the same.
