Latin youth circuit confirmed with seven dates and 70.000 dollars

Between January and May the tour will visit Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Brazil

The Latin American Semillero Olas Pro Tour Circuit confirmed seven stages in four countries for 2024, the organization reported in a note sent to the press.

The events will award a total of $70.000 to surfers between the ages of 8 and 18 who will compete in the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 categories; with each event awarding $10.000.

The dates of the circuit are as follows:

FIRST DATE: January 19 and 20, Playa las Machas – Arica, Chile
SECOND DATE: January 26 and 27, Playa La Isla – Arica, Chile
THIRD DATE: February 03rd and 04th, San Bartolo – Lima, Peru
FOURTH DATE: February 09 and 10, Playa Redondo – Lima, Peru
FIFTH DATE: March 16 and 17, Playa La FAE – Salinas, Ecuador.
SIXTH DATE: March 23 and 24, Montañita Beach – Santa Elena, Ecuador.
SEVENTH DATE: May 24 and 26, Camburi Beach – Sao Paulo, Brazil.

This is how the cash prizes will be distributed for 2024
1st place: $1000 dollars
2nd place: $500 dollars
3st place: $250 dollars
4th place: $150 dollars

The Under 10 and Under 12 divisions, which will also crown champions, will not have cash prizes, the statement said.

The tour champions will qualify for a European junior event to be held in Portugal.

“Today, the organization makes it clear that its purpose is not only to promote sport and healthy competition among its participants, but also to offer them high standards of sporting demands with first-class judging, characteristics of professional events, and thus prepare them from a very young age for world-class events,” they say in the statement.
