Brazilian Filipe Toledo has just been eliminated by wildcard Nathan Hedge in round 2 of the Tahiti Pro at Teahupoo on a bombing run. With this, he left the door open for Jack Robinson to overtake him in the rankings if he makes it to the final.

The series started technically tied, with a slight advantage for Toledo (7 to 6,33) but in the following exchange, a gem came from the Australian Hedge who came out of an impressive tube to add 9,43 and put pressure on the Brazilian.

Toledo found a solid one and improved his situation but finished the series needing 7,94 that never came.

The Brazilian appeared relaxed in the interview, commenting that he had had a very bad series in round 1, in which he scored 1,87 in total.

Now, if Jack Robinson reaches the grand final in Teahupoo, he will overtake Toledo in the rankings. To do so, he will have to overcome Toledo's executioner: Nathan Hedge.
