Leilani McGonagle was runner-up in South Africa
By 0,80 he missed out on his second win of the season and moved up one spot in the QS ranking
Leilani McGonagle finished second at the QS 1.000, Ballito Prdo, which takes place near Durban, South Africa. The Costa Rican was unable to beat local athlete Sarah Baum, who beat her by 13 to 12,2. Third place went to Rachel Presti from Germany and Anne dos Santos from Brazil.
This was McGonagle's third best result of the year and her second final (she won the Krui Pro last month).
With the result, which gave him 750 points, he moved up one place in the ranking, to 30th place.
Another player who obtained an expressive result was the Spanish Luía Martiño who placed seventh in the tournament.
Now the focus turns directly to the 16.000 points that will be awarded at the Supergirl Pro and the US Open, which begin on July 26 and end on August 4.
