Leilani McGonagle won the QS 3000 in Puerto Rico

Muñoz, Mesinas and Brownell placed fifth in the event; the Peruvian is first in the ranking and the Costa Rican second

Costa Rican Leilani McGonagle won the QS 3000 that took place until yesterday Sunday at El Rastrial in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and moved up to second place in the WSL North American regional ranking.

McGonagle had a flawless event on the left and was superior in the grand final to Barbadian Chelsea Tuach, leaving Reid Van Wagoner and Olivia Storer, both from the United States, tied for third place.

In fifth place in the women's category was another Costa Rican: Rubiana Brownell.

Meanwhile, among the men, Carlos Muñoz and Lucca Mesinas were the Latin Americans who went the furthest, finishing in fifth place. The Peruvian is first in the regional ranking and the Costa Rican rose to 12th position, close to the eight that qualify for the challengers.

The tour of that region will now continue through Jacksonville for the women between November 8 and 10 with a 3000 and then on to Mexico, since in Baja California Sur there is a 1000 stage between the 20th and 23rd of this month as well.

Leilani is very strong on powerful lefts.
