One of the best surfers in the history of Argentina and Latin America, Leandro Usuna, renewed his contract with his main sponsor, Rip Curl, for three more years.

At 34 years old, the two-time ISA world champion is coming off one of his best results in recent years with a runner-up position in the classic sea race at the Punta Rocas QS.

"I am happy to renew my relationship with Rip Curl, a company that has been with me for many years and has supported me in my professional career. The Rip team was present at my two ISA world titles, my four national titles, my achievement in the regional WSL, my silver medal at the Pan American Games and my latest and greatest recognition, which was my participation as the first Argentine surfer in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games," said Lele.

“I only have words of gratitude. Without my main sponsor I would not have been able to get this far, thank you for encouraging me to continue giving my best to represent Argentina,” Usuna concluded.

The contract extends until 2025, years in which Usuna will be fighting for qualification for Santiago 2023 and Paris 2024, in addition to remaining active in the regional and Argentine QS tour, in his surf school and his training camps.
