Lucca Mesinas won the world final of the Surf Web Series
The Peruvian's good streak does not stop; Tomás Tudela and Arena Rodríguez also made the podium and placed third
Lucca Mesinas' hot streak continues. The Peruvian was crowned world champion of online surfing after winning the grand final of the global Surf Web Series against South African Shane Sykes.
Mesinas sent a video of his specialty: the backside attack on the lefts of his house and Sykes a tube on the right of his house. The judges ended up giving the victory to the maneuvers above the tubes.
The Peruvian, who finished fifth in Tokyo 2020, who has qualified for the challenger series and who will compete in the Mexican CT this week, added this victory to his resume.
Peru also shined with the third place of Tomás Tudela, who fell to Sykes and the third place of the young Arena Rodríguez who fell to the winner of the tournament, the Brazilian Tainá Hinckel who in the grand final defeated her compatriot Laura Raupp.
The organizers announced: “The next Surf Web Series tour is underway. Stay tuned and get ready for a show of new things.”
