Argentinean Lucía Cosoleto won the Canary Islands stage that concluded last Sunday and with that she became world champion of the Association of Paddlesurf Professionals tour for the second year in a row.
Cosoleto defeated her arch-rival and friend, Vania Torres, in a great final with solid right-handed shots, breaking in Lloret, and left the Japanese sisters Kaede Inoue and Sakura Inoue in third and fourth place.
Meanwhile, with another devastating performance, Peruvian Sebastián Gómez finished second in the men's competition, defeated by the current world champion, Benoit Carpentier, who scored 19,5 in the grand final.
Mathieu Carpentier came in third and Moritz Mauch in fourth.
