Mafer Reyes guaranteed in the elite of world longboarding 2022

Lucas Garrido Lecca has been confirmed for stage 1 and is awaiting confirmation for the rest of the tour

Peruvian longboarder María Fernanda Reyes has guaranteed herself a place in the world longboarding elite for 2022, she announced on social media.

Mafer was ranked second in the regional rankings after the event in Saquarema last year and since Chloe Calmon, the first in the ranking, was third worldwide, the regional position fell to her.

The longboarder celebrated the event on social media, saying she couldn't believe it and was already rushing to get a visa to travel to Australia, where stage 16 will take place from May 24 to 1 in Manly Beach.

The tour then continues with these two stages:

Vans Duct Tape Invitational, Huntington Beach, California, USA: August 3 – 7, 2022
WSL Longboard Championships, Malibu, California, USA: October 3 – 13, 2022

For his part, Lucas Garrido Lecca, who finished the year 11th in the world, informed DUKE that he is guaranteed in the Australian stage and is waiting for confirmation for the other two.

Since the top 10 of the international ranking plus seven of the regional rankings are classified, and Garrido Lecca is 11th, but Joel Tudor (the number 1 is suspended) it is presumed that the Peruvian enters the events.

The other South American regional spot went to Rodrigo Sphaier, the WSL told DUKE, for his victory at last year's Saquarema event.
