Costa Rican Malakai Martinez won the runner-up position in the WSL JQS, Live Like Zander Pro Junior, which concluded today in Barbados, placing a very close second, and Mexican Alan Cleland qualified for the WSL Junior World Championships to be held in Taiwan next month.

The final was decided by 13,77 to 13,60 in favour of Frenchman Noa Ledee, with Martínez well ahead of Micha Cantor and the newly crowned ISA world champion, Dimitri Poulos.

Alan Cleland, who had been having a dream championship, scoring the best scores, was unable to beat Cantor and Poulos in the quarter-finals and settled for fifth place, which still allowed him to reach 2180 points and third place in the ranking that qualifies him for Taiwan.

Costa Rican Eva Woodland also achieved an expressive third place in the junior ladies' category, in a final that was defeated by Ava McGowan, followed by Sawyer Lindblad and in which Ella McCaffra was left in fourth place, all three from the United States.
