Mamiya moved to the Channel Island team

After several years working with SharpEye, the Hawaiian member of the CT and with chances of going to Paris 2024, changed boards

Barron Mamiya launched a campaign of expectations to announce his change of sponsor; a week ago he published a thank you to SharpEye for so many years of good relationship and left the door open to find out which brand he was changing to.

There were several suggestions in the comments until finally, at the same time, on Channel Island's account and on his own, videos and photos showed the 12th-ranked Hawaiian ripping with the Merrick.

"I'm happy to join the Channel Island Surfboards team. Next year is going to be fun, let's go!" Mamiya wrote.

"We are more than happy to work with you," they wrote from Channel Island.
The Hawaiian joins Joao Chumbinho Chianca and Dane Reynolds, two of the most notable figures on the Santa Barbara board brand's team.
