Mariecarmen and Ricardo won again and are close to Pan American gold.

The podium was completed by Argentina and Brazil in women's and Brazil and Peru in men's.

Puerto Ricans Mariecarmen Rivera and Ricardo Ávila won the SUP Race for the second day in a row, putting themselves in a very comfortable position to win gold in the category.

Both had a tougher race today than yesterday, when they led from start to finish.

This time, Juliette Duhaime and Ricardo overtook Mariecarmen at times. David Leao finished the first lap in first place, but then, in the wave zone, he moved into first place, which he held until the end.

Since there are three races, placing second guarantees victory for both teams, and placing third in the worst-case scenario guarantees victory for both teams.

Victory would slip away from them with a combination of results in which both teams fare poorly in the final race.

The third will be on Friday, July 11.
