Matahi Drollet made it into the main draw of the Tahiti Pro
Chumbo Chianca was invited to the trials, Aritz is already in Teahupoo and waiting for his place
Young Tahitian Charger Matahi Drollet has been confirmed for the next stage of the CT, the Tahiti Pro which will take place in Teahupoo between August 21 and September 1.
The trials will take place between the 15th and the 18th and not all the guests have been informed yet. It will be a one-day event that will allow two surfers to participate, at least one of whom must be local.
Brazilian website Waves reported that its big rider Lucas Chumbo Chianca received an invitation, but no other names are known.
Meanwhile, Basque Aritz Aranburu is there but has not yet been confirmed where to go, he himself told DUKE.
Drollet will replace Mikey Wright who is suffering from a lower back injury.
