Matías Maturano is already training in Punta Rocas for the Pan American Games
It includes some radical shortboard moves from the classic surfer, "to warm up the legs," he said.
Argentine and Peruvian Matías Maturano was motivated by the announcement that he is now part of the Argentine team for the Pan American surfing championship that will take place in Punta Rocas in October and is already spending his time training on the wave that will host the event.
Maturano appears in the video surfing some shortboard waves (doing it very well) and then with his board, walking, carving and flowing as he knows how.
The longboarder was born in Argentina but grew up surfing in Peru, a country he represented last year at the World Longboard Championship and now, after receiving the invitation, he is defending Argentina.
"A small compilation of Matias Maturano's first training sessions at Punta Rocas beach, a bit of shortboarding to warm up the legs and nothing that the 9'6 single fin Piccolo Clemente can't handle with a pair of fins (10'75 and 10'5) designed by the master Pedro Vázquez," Matías described his video.
