Presents Surf City El Salvador

Two of the most prominent free surfers on the planet, Matt Meola and Albee Layer from Maui, Hawaii, are in El Salvador surfing some great waves, as shown by the surfers themselves on their social networks, as well as by their hosts, Bryan Pérez and Marcelo Castellanos.

The trip started with fun waves at Punta Mango last Wednesday and epic waves yesterday, Thursday.

Various Instagram stories show them both doing aerials and surfing good tubes at one of the main breaks in the Wild East.

According to DUKE's information from a local contact, the Hawaiians are there to film their next movie.

One of the stories by filmmaker Marcos Arrocha showed Meola surfing a backside tube. And, as he usually does, like a good Salvadoran local, Bryan Pérez shared a tube he surfed yesterday.

After an intense session of tubes, the group moved to Puro Surf where they presented the new film by Layer and Meola, Rainbows in the Rearview.

Once the film was over, which was accompanied by several shouts and applause from those present, a local band performed.

Meola is coming off a win at the Stab High in Costa Rica, he is one of the most innovative aerialists in the world and is also known for surfing well on intermediate and perfect waves.

For his part, Albee Layer is one of the most complete surfers in the world, being able to do the most innovative aerials or giving the most incredible performances at Peahi/Jaws, one of the heaviest waves in the world.
