Mayhem remains at the top of the Vissla shaper rankings
DHD remains second and Sharp Eye third, now Channel Island moved up to fourth and Pyzel to fifth
Mayhem boards built by shaper Matt Biolos in San Clemente, California, remained at the top of the Vissla shaper rankings following Stage 9 of the CT in JBay, South Africa.
The top five continued to be completed by DHD, Sharp Eye, Channel Island and Pyzel, in that order, with the latter two swapping fourth for fifth due to the South African results.
Toledo's win, Kanoa Igarashi's semis and Jack Robinson's quarterfinals favored SharpEye, but Mayhem won with quarterfinals from Ian Gentil, Gabriela Bryan and Caroline Marks and a semi from Carissa Moore.
DHD scored several points in its favor, such as two second places, Ethan Ewing and Molly Picklum and fifth place for Steph Gilmore.
The change in the top five between Merrick and Pyzel is a direct result of Peterson's win, Tyler Wright's third, and the fact that John John didn't make the quarterfinals.
