Mayhem, the board made in San Clemente by Californian shaper Matt Biolos, took the lead in the Vissla Shapers Rankings following the Surf Ranch stage that concluded yesterday, Sunday, the WSL reported on its website.
His double draw win over Griffin Colapinto and Carissa Moore was key to the turnaround in the rankings, displacing Darren Handley's DHD into second place.
However, the distance that Biolos gained over his Australian counterpart was not that great: 122670 to 113825.
Sharp Eye, which led much of the year, is now third with 107015. And, much further back are Channel Island with 67555 and Pyzel with 53345, completing the top five.
