Messinas unstoppable
The Peruvian continues his streak and won the ALAS of Punta Rocas; Rosas, Coli, Martino, and Clemente took the rest of the categories
A few days after finishing fifth in the French challenger and moving up to sixth in the world challenger rankings, Lucca Mesinas kept up the pace and won the return of the ALAS circuit to the Peruvian waves.
Mesinas, who is preparing to make history at the final Challenger in Hawaii, participated in the event to train and was unstoppable in the powerful waves of Punta Rocas.
In the final he scored 15,36, which was higher than Alonso Correa's 13,4, Maximiliano Cross's 8,47 and Juninho Urcia's 4 points.
It was precisely Alonso Correa who was the only one who could beat the man from Máncora; both of them went through to the semi-finals with Correa in first place.
Repeating her performance at the Pan American Games in Lima, Daniella Rosas won the women's open event, in a competitive final that saw the revelation in Vera Jarisz from Argentina placing second, Arena Rodriguez third and Sol Aguirre fourth.
Piccolo Clemente won the longboard in a final in which Tamil Martino came close to beating him. Martino himself scored 18 points to win the SUP and the young American Nicolas Coli won the youth category.
The ALAS Pro Tour continues next weekend in Punta Roquitas.
